2011 Master Certificates

The last edition of The Pavior described the Company’s introduction of a Master Craftsman Certificate to recognise excellence in achievement by craftsmen who have gained their skills through a vocational route. The first successful candidates, from the Paviors, Lightmongers, Plaisterers and Plumbers Companies, were presented with their certificates by the Lord Mayor of London, Alderman Michael Bear, during a ceremony at the Charterhouse on 22 February. Receiving Craftsmen Pavior awards were:

  • Master Pavior: Steven James Wallis, Tarmac
  • Journeyman Pavior: Steven Ralph, Aggregate Industries
  • Apprentice Paviors: Steven Bayliss, Aggregate Industries, and Jamie Gwynne, Tarmac

2012 Master Certificates


The Master reads the Pavior Award citation for Mike Phillips

The Lord Mayor, Alderman David Wootton, presented certificates to award winners under the Construction Liveries Group Master Certificate Scheme at Plaisterers’ Hall on 10 February. The scheme works in conjunction with City & Guilds to encourage the pursuit of excellence in vocational education, training and experience in skill areas related to those of livery companies. Certificates were presented to 22 people from five companies, of whom four received Pavior Awards.
